How To Make Your Garden Just As Fabulous As Your Home...

Your garden is just as important as the inside of your home. Whether you have a small courtyard or acres of land, the outside space needs to reflect your style and taste. Our flower delivery specialists have a few suggestions for garden accessories that will add a personal touch and make the exterior as fabulous as the interior!

Think about what you want to get from your garden. Will it be for entertaining friends and family in the summer? Do you have children who need some outside space to play games and load up on Vitamin D, or would you like to grow herbs and veggies? How you use your garden will dictate how you design it. A pretty little summerhouse is a very versatile accessory and can be appreciated by everyone, from young child to the young-at-heart grandparents. Store tools and treats in here alike - we like the idea of making it a little haven, when you need a break from the stresses of everyday life.

It goes without saying that any small garden needs pots! Experiment with different shapes and sizes and mix things up a bit by having some flowering and some foliage plants that will add colour right throughout the year. Our new Flowertaps are the perfect way to give a classic terracotta pot an extra, horticultural twist! With a metal tap decoratively perched above some beautiful blooms, these gifts will juxtapose nicely amongst the classic foliage and flora. Plus you can reuse the pot once the flowers are past their best - we think it would be perfect for the vegetable growers amongst you!

For the culinary wizards amongst you, why not set up an outdoor kitchen? These can become very expensive, with apparatus like outdoor fridges and pizza ovens adding a hit of luxury to your space. If you’re looking for something that won’t break the bank, why not sent up a stone worktop next to your barbeque - perfect for pulling together a fresh salad in the sunshine. If you want to be able to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine or a chilled beer in the evening, then design your garden so that patio table and chairs get the sunshine later in the day. You could even try planting tomato plants or some herb boxes around, to make a proper kitchen garden. Nothing tastes better than home-grown ingredients, and they will certainly add the wow factor to any garden party.

Finally, consider adding some mood lighting to create atmosphere, especially on those balmy summer evenings. Fairy lights add a real hint of magic, and the battery powered versions can be tucked decoratively into hedges and trees to cocoon your guests. For something with a bit more oomph, candles and a firepit add some drama to a nighttime and have the added bonus of keeping you and your nearest and dearest warm! Maybe tuck a blanket box to one side to make the evening especially cosy.

Have fun, get creative and don’t be afraid to experiment. And remember, just because you don’t have vast manor house grounds, complete with rose garden and maze, does not mean you can’t have a heavenly little garden.
